MY good friend is bringing his boy into the world of duck hunting. He has a 20 gauge mossberg 500c pump that says it can handle 3" shells. But he says 3" shells just don't seem to pump out of the ejection port quite often. Can anyone tell us where to start looking to solve the problem. He says it just seems like the 3" shells are just too long for the opening in the ejection port. Thanks for any input you can give. We e-mailed mossberg and they offered to look at the gun but they are leaving on their first outing in 3 weeks and we're Pretty sure that it wouldn't be "turned around" fast enough.

kraky, I've never had a problem with my 20 ga. Mossberg but my .410 is a little particular about the brand of shells. A few thousandths in rim dimentions can make a difference. Steel shot is a little expensive but it might be worth trying another brand. BH
