got a new 870 super mag ..after it has fired the first round it stick on the recycle for the second shot.. and only tick once it has been fired.. the gun has only fired 10 rounds and am thinking it might get better but better judgment has kept his gun out of the slough so far..what would your nearest guess on the problem and the fix? thanks

I have had the same problem with a few new pump shotguns over the years. In all cases I found that after a few boxes of shells everything falls into place.

I am guessing that all of the cycling smooths everything out. Though not a pump I had it happen yesterday with a brand new Beretta 391 Optima (first shot). It never happened again and I went on to put 125 rounds through it.

If the slide feels a bit rough put some tooth paste on the slides and in the action where there is any metal to metal contact and work it repeatedly. give a a good cleaning then go hunting.
