While shooting quail with a friend recently he had a problem with his o/u Verona (single trigger)only firing 1 barrel? It seemed as if the firing pin was not hitting the primer hard enough. The primer did show a slight mark. The gun is about 2years old, and no previous problems. Any suggestions, or has anyone had this happen to them?? Please help (rug) Ben

It's a design flaw with that O/U. So is the fact that it doesn't really break enough to access the bottom barrel freely, IMO. A friend had the same problem with two different Veronas before he finally gave up on them entirely and demanded his money back. Once it starts, it doesn't get any better. Call the manufacturer and see what they tell you. They seem to be well aware of the problem.

Shit! It's the Stoeger Condors my friend had trouble with. His Verona O/U is still functioning just fine. I should have caught the error especially since you put Rizzini in brackets. The Rizzini guns are much better quality than Stoeger and I haven't heard of this problem with them.

This is just a guess, but it sounds like the firing pin spring is doubled up and slowing the pin down, or the hammer is rubbing on the stock. Common problems with many different brands.

Rug, Have him call (800) 456-9182 and ask for customer service. The Verona's have a lifetime warranty.
