A friend of mine that I consider a true craftsman built a few trap guns for him, his wife, and kids. He decided to shoot benchrest inorder that he didn't have to build any more shot guns. He built his shot guns like his BR rifles. He makes it all. The barrels, receivers, triggers, vent rib, stocks and so forth. On his br rifles he bought barrels and stocks. His shotgun triggers are fashioned after rifle triggers and the trigger guard breaks open the receiver.
