Hello
I would like to know who makes a quality hull in 10 gauge. I have some Winchester Drylocks.

They dont seem to be very good. The crimp was fused at the factory, (right in the center) and now, I have a hard time getting them to crimp well.

Has anybody made and 8 pt. 10 gauge hull? I am new to this gauge, and I have not remembered one, but then again, I wasn't really looking either. From my experience with the 12 gauge, an 8 point is easier to use than the 6 point.

I use new Remington cases with 6pt crimp, loaded on a MEC Sizemaster. They last quite a while; cases are all plastic and steel. My Ithaca auto would occasionally rip the rims on Winchester or Federal cases. My o/u doesn't care. I wish Winchester would make a compression-molded case but I guess they just don't sell enough.

I would rate the 10 ga cases as Rem being best Fed ok and win the poorest.

I am quite interested in 10ga loading data, I now have 2 10ga shotguns and have seen the light on how well they pattern. I have a Browning BPS 10, dedicated turkey gun with 26" barrel, drilled and tapped with the now discontinued Leupold base. The other is a Remington SP10 that I just traded for at the last gunshow we had. I have been looking at the MEC Sizemaster as well. Do you load waterfowl and or turkey loads? Where do you get Remington 10ga hulls? Thanks for your replys. I also shoot factory Hevi-Shot turkey loads and would love to learn more about it, I have a book coming from precision reloading about reloading the hevi-shot.
