I lost my limiter plug for my Remingto 870 Wingmaster shotgun. Can someone tell me the length of one? I am Goose hunting in a few days and would like to make one. I am assuming that it is about 2 shells in length,is this a fair assumption?

I use old alum arrows for mine I just remove the mag cap put to shells in the mag drop the arrow down the mag tube mark it for length then cut it off.

Drop it back in put the mag cap back on and go hunting.

I normally cut it a little bit short. for 3 inch and 2 3/4 shells.

Same thing happened to me once. What I did was I took a BIC pen and pulled the top and bottom out and inserted the hollow core in the top of the magazine. Just measured my plug and it's 4 7/8" long, the pen core was 1/2" shorter but still worked.

Thanks guys. I took a plastic tent peg and cut it down to 4 7/8" and it fit right in and works just fine. Took about 4 min. and it works great.
