i see a lot of you guys out there are always talking about pump actions for trap, skeet, sporting etc especially the 870.is this because you have a class for shooting pumpy's or do you just prefer shooting them over auto's and o/u's.i only ask because it is not very often you see them turning up to shoots down here in NZ especially for trap and skeet.it is usually joe average duck shooter who turns up for a lash before opening weekend

Pumps are my favorites as I have 3:Rem 870 12g with trap, skeet & field barrels,Win Mod 12 12 Trap & Ithaca feather wt 16g field mod. They're very reliable but I also have a Rem 11-87 LC 12g field with Rem chokes. The Rem pumps are simple to strip and parts are readily available just about anywhere.

Your right, joe average comes to the trap or skeet field with a pump. Most are just getting in a little practice before hunting season. The real target shooters use O/U guns. The O/U skeet guns most times have a tube set for the smaller gauges. When i get bored shooting skeet, i get out the pump for some fun.
