| I woudn't trade my original B25's for anything else. OTOH, I would love a S/S Lebeau-Courally ( http://www.lebeau-courally.com/). Of course, both cost considerably more than the given price bracket. |

| My dream shotgun would be a semi auto, that never missed and carried 8 shells. I have several O/U's and SXS's. It always seems like when I shoot my last shot several more chukars get up under my feet! Ron |

| Well it'd be more than $2,500...
But a nice pair of 12 guage British sidelocks (Purdey, Daniel Fraiser etc), round body, light crisp triggers, splinter forearms, straight grip, that were all set up for my measurements. I'd be all ready for driven grouse and pheasant, oh I say... |

| Well, I have Champagne dreams but you gave me a Budweiser budget!
If I could go all out I suppose I'd get a Krieghoff (spelling) |

| 1926 german drilling 16 gauge x 16 gauge with .360 cal rifle below.. got it for 1500 dollars, highly engraved, greener cross bolt, cocking indecator pins, buffalo horn butt cap and grip cap, one of the most beautiful stocks ive ever seen, best small game gun ive ever owned.. with much, much reloading work the rifle shoots three shot 3/4 inch groups at 65 yards. 1200 feet per second, 200 grain cast lead pill.. no recoil in any of the loads, shoots 20-25 clays (at 16 yards) per round every wensday night, depending on the operator. . i had to get a mec jr with short kit just to shoot it.. the whole package (gun& sling) is 7 pounds..working on a 1500 feet per second paper patch pure lead bullet for deer.. i have to regulate three barrels, a real bear, but its got my attention, the best past time an old man can have.. dave. |

| My first "expensive" gun was a Browning Citori Lightning hunter. I have lots of other, more expensive guns, but I shoot this one better than all the rest except at very long (over 50 yds) ranges. There my 30" barelled gun is better. I also love my first pump, my engraved SxS, and my other fancy and not-so-fancy guns, but the 26" Browning Citori is my favorite hunting gun. And you can get them starting at around $900. If you get a fancy one, you can come in anywhere between there and your number.

| A Darne side/side, preferably in 20 ga but that would push it over the budget. I have seen some 12's at that price. |

| The Darne's are great, and there was the time I held a Churchill 20ga S/S - fully engraved, pointed like you finger- only cost $35000.00 In an "economy S/S the limiter edition Winchester 23 Light Duck (20ga) or a 682 Beretta 20ga O/U |

| I gave mine away. AH Fox AE, 12ga, 26" but cut barrels, double trigger, straight stock. Gave to my oldest son. He can really shoot it. A jam up skeet gun. I still get to use it from time to time.
If I had $2500 to spend on gun I would be looking for the same thing with uncut 26" barrels IC/M in 12 or 20. Or a like Parker. Preferably with a busted stock. I'm not into collecting, just shooting, so excellent condition is not required. I can replace the stock myself.
I have a friend that picked up a graded 12 GA Parker ( G or D) with complete original set of extra barrels and forend, that needs a butt stock replacement for under $1500 about 8 years ago. A steal.
Have only seen pictures, but I'm not impressed with the Ruger Gold label. |

| Santala, A good friend just bought a 687 Silver Pigeon II 20 gauge in Mitchell SD, while he was on a trip there chasing pheasants. It is a beautiful gun and shoots very well. I like the fit and feel better than my Verona. |
