Do any of you have experience with the Benelli Nova Tactical? It looks to be a well-built gun and I like the fore-end a lot. If I were to get one, I would be looking to keep it simple.....just adding a mag tube extension and flashlight.

Any comments on reliability and design from people who have used them?

Sorry, I've never even heard of the Tactical version. But I won a hunting (?) version of the Nova several years ago and have been really impressed. Admittedly I'm a bit of a competition shotgun snob, but the Nova is the most naturally pointing pump I've ever used (and yes, I own and have shot the m-12 and m-870's extensively).

I ran the first round of skeet I ever shot with the Nova and placed in a big sporting clays pump event last year using the Nova. For sporting mine would be perfect except that it happens to be a 3.5" chamber and that's quite a bit of extra pumping over the course of an event.

Other than the occassional operator error of "short shucking" with that long action, mine has been perfectly reliable.

Hope that helps.

You can't go wrong with either a Nova or Supernova.
