More than 10 yrs. ago, I bought a Browning BSS-Sidelock in 20 ga. with 28" bbls., unfired in the box, for under that price figure. I still have it and it is still NIB, unfired, but it is worth more now. It is my all-time favourite of the less expensive guns I have owned and I even prefer it to the Superposed and William Powell & Son boxlock I sold within the past few yrs. A very nice Grouse gun and very well made, IMO.

For all-out dream guns, though, a Krieghoff "Essencia" 20-28", full and Skt. 1 with burl wood, tiny English scroll and a moderate "Churchill" rib....ecstasy, sheer ecstasy!
