Ruger 10/22 with integral suppressor is the most quiet and reliable weapon for this specific use.

10/22's are pretty loud with the action noise.....go with a bolt gun. I have a CZ Czech Mate, and it is a finger snap with subsonics......and will do 1-2" groups at 100 yds....

On the other hand, noise you don't know or automatically categorize as threatening is just some noise...

Try www.deltacomanyarms.com. They make a shorty (10" bbl)in 300BLK in several configurations. Aaron is a disabled Iraqi vet.

Shooting out lights....

Brings back memories.
First we used a shotgun...

Then we got a pump up air rifle.
You would hear the pellet hig the streetlingt PING... Light still on, then you would hear the shooter pumping up the air rifle...
Then PING, then repeat....

Then BOOOOM, the 12 ga... Light out. Big Grin
On streetlights the air rifle would just not knock them out.

We then got a H&K MP5SD [supressed 9mm].

That worked pretty good, but it still would not always knock out the light with one shot...
But it was quiet.

+1 on a subsonic 300blkout. My 10 inch M16 with a Gemtech HVT sounds like a staple gun on FA. With corbons quieter than a subsonic .22lr. No one would associate the sound signature with a gunshot it's that quiet. 1 moa at 100 yards too but trajectory like a rainbow.-Rob

Rob,

Glad to hear that! My 16" 300 BLK upper works fine ... and the paperwork for the transfer of the can is in progress. Should be fun!
