I made a can for my WASR. The material was left over 4130 scrap from other projects, so the only real cost was the $200 tax.



It is a short can that telescopes over the barrel 3 inches as I could not make muzzle threads straight enough on the barrel. It is still rather loud with standard ammo as the gas venting out near the front sight is not suppressed at all. The trigger also slaps back when the silencer is attached. My attempts as using 220 subsonic handloads have failed so far as they will not feed well and are inaccurate.
