ATN ir450-bX -- and cr123a vs AA
I received this little jewel for fatherdays ... other than having the wrong mount ($15 to fix) its a rather powerful IR illuminator. 5 power settings, LONG focus-ability, and light weight.

purportedly 450mw ... we shall see about that.

i don't care for the cr123a batteries ... while it only uses ONE, for 3v, the rest of my rig is on AA 2750mah rechargables.

I'll machine a end cap, and reset for using 2xAA in series .. vola, 3v, 2750mah .. or about 3 TIMES the output of the cr123, at 850-900 mah.
