Does anyone know of any 'hobby quality' decibel meters that read past 130dB?

I would like to determine for myself the before and after SPL readings.

thanks,

Unfortunately, the cheap ones don't work for gun shots. They will give you numbers but they are not accurate measurements because the microphones do not have fast enough response time to capture the gun shot. The following link gives a more detailed explanation.

I have a good quality calibrated dB meter and it gives the same kind of compression referred to in the link. Frowner The recommended meters for measuring gunshots are sometimes available used in the $1000 range.
