There is a reference to the 32-70 USN cartridge
being loaded with smokeless powder by Winchester
in 1893.Winchester,The Gun That Won The West,by
Harold F.Williamson{page 448}. Anyone know anything about it?

WC -
there is a brief mention and specimen illustration on p.73 of Hoyem Vol 4 . It appears as tho this is a very scarce cartridge , as the information is scant to say the least. No mention of propellant powder. Not much help , but all I have at present . [Big Grin]
