Was hiking yesterday at an old army base turned State park (Ft. Harrison in Indianapolis, IN) and came across a couple spend shell casings. One was stamped 30 Mauser and the other LC 67.

Other than the C36, were there many pistols chambered for that cartridge? Also, the .06 acse has an elongated neck with a crimp. Was this likely a blank?

Just trying to get some answers for my son AND to satisfy my curiosity.

Thanks,

There were certainly Chinese (and Spanish - by Astra) copies of the Mauser C96.

The "other" pistol that will chamber and fire 7.63mm Mauser ammunition (or .30" Mauser as it is also called) is Russian.

The Tokarev.

Plus of course the Russian SMGs of WWII the PPsH-41 and the earlier PPD-40.

So maybe someone wanted to shoot a dufflebag bringback?
