If it has the twisted magazine tube then it is a Remington. Many of us are familiar with the Model 14 that was chambered in 30 Remington, essentially a rimless 30-30. HOWEVER, why would Remington chamber a gun designed for spitzer-type bullets in a caliber that uses flat-point bullets. Please do not forget that Remington also extended their 'rimless' series of slide-action rifles to the 25 REMINGTON. If your friend got the brand of gun wrong, who is to say that the barrel isn't stamped 25 Remington or 25 RCF instead of 25 WCF? I am not sure if Remington ever called their stuff RCF but please double check. A few signs point to that it could be a 25 Remington. -Spencer | ||
