My landlord brought this ammo to me today to see if it is worth anything or to dispose of it if it is valueless. She found it when cleaning out some of her late husband's closets.

Anyone know anything of its origin or value?

My preliminary research indicates it may be Italian Carcano ammo?

Thanks in advance.

Chuck

Military ammunition would be FMJ...those are soft points. Looks like 7.35x51 Carcano sporting ammo.

The clips might be worth more than the ammo

Those are military boxes & clips (most likely WW2 era). The ammo is most likely military casings that have had the bullets pulled out and replaced with soft points. But I can't tell for sure without knowing or seeing the headstamp. I agree that the clips aka chargers are worth more then the ammo. But even then only a couple bucks a piece.
