An auction will be held Sat. in a little town of Newcastle. A tremendous amount of old west stuff including a whole lot of shotgun, cannon, rifle, and pistol ammo will be sold. I wish I didn't have to help with the Shilen swap meet or I would be there. Check the photos.

Thanks for the link, I might go. I was thinking of Shilen's or the Dallas Show but this looks potentially more lucrative.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Charlie,
You don't know how much I would like to go. I have an eye on a couple items.

Factoring the weather moving in with a 5 plus hour drive one way, I just decided it wasn't worth it. However, the weather may make for some real bargains if the attendance is low.

Made the sale, weather wasn't that bad (wind was cold lots of snow but nothing stuck). Plenty of dealers were there so not too many bargins. I had to get the wife home (she had enough) after 10 hrs. Slowest damn auction I've ever been to. I picked up a few things but couldn't stay for some of the things I went for. JC

No Butch she is the one who brought me a flyer on the sale. Hell, she begged to go. (there were some furniture in the sale). She just wouldn't let me stay till they got to the new brass, reloading equip, and the old magazines. I thought the old collectable ammo sold pretty high. JC

One of our buddies here on the forum, craftsman, and his buddy bought the engraved floor plates and too much more he said. He agreed with you, you had to pick your bargains.
