This is a popular thread on a couple of other forums I’m on.

For my vehicle kit I picked up.

Quality set of flat head screwdrivers and a tool roll. I need to get their Phillips counterpart when they go on sale.

Bungee’s with the ball end for managing my tarps.

Added this https://www.amazon.com/hz/mobi..._mcx_mr_hp_m_atf_epr

Based on a recommendation from a friend.

Non car kit related I picked up 5 pounds of iodized salt and 3 dozen canning lids that were on sale.

Not a huge change but it’s progress

One can never have enough canning lids! During the 'rona when all the TP was gone I had the sense to go look at canning supplies. I bought ALL of the lids in the store. I was glad I did, I can a lot. There were no lids available here for two years.

Something I am working on now:

I am getting ready to expand my rabbitry a little. I'd like to reconfigure and add a few more cages and also put in a concrete floor. The structure I have them in is a hoop style structure under large post oaks. I am also going to have some metal roofing added. Tarps fail pretty regularly with branch drops.

The rabbits are integral. They provide meat and manure for the garden.

When I do this I will also have a pad poured for my generator.

Each of my vehicles now has a "bug out" bag, a tool kit, tow strap, entrenchment tool, jumpers, and a box of auto consumables like antifreeze, motor oil, tranny fluid, brake fluid and windshield washer. My primary defensive weapons are clean and have a 75 rd bandoleer of ammo hanging from the upper sling swivel. Pistol bag with 100 rds of ammo for each handgun. Water and dried food of course.

Huckleberries from MT are excellent, as are
blackberries from AL-

Bobster's vehicle-based common sense articles are the best "inclusive" philosophy. Bug-out bags work...
don't forget silver and cash.

Just sent 14 meat rabbits to freezer camp. Mmm, mmm!

As soon as I finish some catch-up here I will start hunting a few squirrels. Massive oak and walnut year over here.

Past few weeks, we've been canning axis meat stew, axis ground taco meat, making ghee and put up 22 quarts of bone broth we made. Getting ready to load the freezer up on the next hunt. The ranch i normally hunt each winter is asking me to do some culling. Oh, and ground up 8 quarts of popcorn for cornmeal and vacuumed them up. Getting ready to pressure can pecans as soon as the ones i want drop.

I am getting ready to can more broth/stock with making a turkey next week. Planning on learning my smoker this year as well.

I recently bought a camber vac sealer. Seriously a terrific addition to my food storage kit. I will be processing 9 rabbits in December and I part them out into serving sizes and thus end up with many packages to seal. This machine works awesome. Very professional.

If I get some venison I will be using it plenty for processing. I don't need to can any venison but will focus on ground meat and steaks. Also looking forward to putting some jerky and sausage up later this winter.

I also have a large amount of beef tallow to process soon too.
