Before the Shaw of Iran was overthrown/vacated the country I read that he had imported 5 Asian lions from India's Gir Forest to I presume a suitable place to set them free to propagate. Does anyone know if these cats have survived or maybe they were killed off by the revolutionaries that took over the country after the Shaw left. I have read that his "world wide hunter" younger brother's wildlife museum has been left intact and is in operation.
