So sad. A very rare and secretive animal that cannot live outside the jungle habitat (unlike the common leopard which can even thrive in urban situations).

It does not look like a poaching incident. No guns and the clothing is causal home ware. It might have been snared when deer or pigs were the target. I just guessing as the injuries were on the leg and neck.

When I see descriptive words like "corpse" and "nails" in referencing an animal it makes me wonder what world are we living in.

I think they are the most beautiful of all the cats. Yes, a fine mature male in his prime. I have seen stats that the biggest males will top out at 50 lbs. or just a bit more.

Check out the monkey story below the leopard story. The "red-shanked douc" species that I had never heard about. They are beautiful.
