For those who may have an interest, I have two (2) openings for Aug. 14-23, 2007 on our Siberian (Yakutsk) Snow Sheep hunt. These openings are being offered at a reduced rate due to postponement of previously confirmed hunts. Normal price on this hunt is $14,900....you can take advantage of this for $13,400. This is a 10 day hunt in the mountains north of Yakutsk. Safari Outfitters has been hunting in this region for the past several years and have taken some excellent rams from this area. Camps are limited to a maximum of 4 hunters, the area is remote and all hunting is done on foot. Access to the camp is with the use of helicopter. Hunters fly into Moscow, are met there by Sergei Kondratov from our Moscow office and you would be fully escorted from Moscow to Yakutsk and into camp. Sergei will stay in camp and will travel back with you. Additional costs above the $13,400 hunt price would be...visa fee, hotels in Moscow and Yakutsk if needed, air fare to Moscow and on into Yakutsk. All hunting is done on foot. Success rate has been nearly 100% on rams averaging about 36"...we have had some heavy horned rams pushing the 40"+ mark, but that is the exception, not the rule. If you would like more specific details on this, please let me know. Thanks for your interest! FYI- SAFARI OUTFITTERS, INC. is the oldest hunt consulting firm in the world (est. 1952). WE opened Russia to hunting and have led the way into most of these regions...including Kamchatka, Siberia, Tajikistan. A copy of our free catalog is available on request. Yours for good hunting, Clark Jeffs Safari Outfitters, Inc. (307) 587-5596 clark@safari1.com

I have known Clark Jeffs for over 10 years. I know he just started posting on AR, but his company is the one of the biggest and best Booking Agencys on the planet. No one has more experience behind the Iron Curtain! Big shot mountain hunters like Jack Links (of Jerky making fame), Stan Potts, Stan and Pamela Atwood, His word is his bond. If this was something in my price range I would jump all over it. Clark will talk to anyone, he doesn't care if your a movie star or just one of the guys. He's a hell of a nice guy who will jump through hell to give you a good hunt. I am sure more than me, can reccomend Safari Outfitters. Cheers, Seth

No problem, so many new "booking agent" on this thing, I thought I would educate the masses. I am trying to figure something out for 2008. But the problem is a rifle, and me being in Europe. So the probability is something in Europe, Africa again, or Greenland for 2008. 2009 is a probable Mongolia as long as I am based out of the states or Guam. I wonder if you can fly from Guam to Soul???? I transfer in Nov 2008.

Seth, We send a brand new .30-06 over to Mongolia last year...+ there are a few other guns floating over there that we have sent in over the years. If you want to give Mongolia a try and don't want to mess with the guns, no problem...we will make it happen. Also have some reindeer and/or moose hunting in Sweden (Lapland) with my buddy Magnus...he has guns you could use too. We will figure something good out for you! Be safe. Cheers, Clark SAFARI OUTFITTERS

Clark, Thanks, the problem on the Mongolia hunt at least while I am living in Europe is getting trophies home. I am actually supposed to be hunting in Finnish Lappland this fall for meat-moose. And some of the guys on this site are trying to put together a all Euro meeting in Hungary for deer and small game. So 2007 is looking pretty good. 2008 I will be moving in November, and hopefully getting promoted. So I have no idea what I am going to be doing. Africa is calling again, and I have thought about doing 2 or 3 weeks of roe deer hunting in Europe during the summer. Trying to kick dad hard enough to get him interested in something. He's in a lot of pain and hasn't been doing much. Need to take him to the Gobi or Africa before he gets any older. I might be home next April for a month. Thinking about spending two weeks in the Wind Rivers setting bear baits and trying to convince a black bear he needs to die. It's been really hard on me here, I had a rifle permit and several guns in Spain. It wasn't much different than living in the states. This place makes Washington DC look like heaven. I'll either be in Guam, Hawaii or Washington state when I leave here. Any of the three is fine, at least the exchange ratio will be 1 to 1 and I will be allowed to own guns. I think it's time to go to Mongolia too! take care, Seth
