Yes, I personally hunted with him last year for the Eastern Tur in Azerbaijan. He is the best. For years he did the ground work for many booking agents and still does. So, many know him even if not booking directly with him. I booked with him and everything was as he said or better. Very honest man and a true gentleman. I'd book with him again without any hesitation.
I hunted with Mirbala in 2007 and he was fantastic!! I killed a giant ram in November and the organization of the hunt was A plus. He is also a wonderful guy to be around in camp, he keeps you laughing. I don't know how to post the photos of the hunt or my ram. I think Bryan Martin from Asian Mtn Outfitters books thru him also.

I booked a hunt with Mirbala this past July that I had to cancel because I fractured my pelvis. I booked the hunt at the SCI convention and one of the references he gave me was Craig Boddington, who was also at the convention. I went and talked to Craig and he spoked highly about Mirbala.

Hunted with Shikar Safaris in 2005. Mirbala was to be my guide but I ended up just hunting with the local guides as language was not a problem for me. That said, Mirbala was in camp the whole time and was very knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to be with there and in Baku. For what it's worth, he also used to do meet and greet in Bishkek and conveyance to Tajikistan via Osh for Shikar Safaris.
