Congrats on your hunt, looking forward to the pics and more of the story as this is a hunt I was considering before committing to an ibex hunt.

Maybe in 2013... after Scotty comes up to CO and whacks a big old timberline muley.

Hi all, well feeling a little bit more human now so will write a bit more.I hunted with Asif Ilyasov of Global safaris. This is my second trip to Azerbaijan the first with a different outfitter and no where near as good as Asif's outfit. In september the bull tur are on the top's and I found it very difficult terrain ,as I said to one mate its like New Zealnd on steroids.Base camp was a house type arrangement with fantastic food, weather wasn't real flash for the start but once we climb straight up to the hunting camp for 5 hours things cleared and became quite warm.Saw loads of animals but you must be able to shoot to 400-500m as this my be as close as you can get at this time of the year or maybe thats just my bad luck. If you hunt earlier the tur are down lower and can be driven to the hunters but the skins are not so good.Over all i had a great time and Asif has a great area ,good guides and is keen to ensure you can have chance at good to very good trophy. Thanks to Scottyboy for posting the pic's(which will be here later).Happy to give any more info on the hunt.cheers

Incredible terrain, superb trophy! Well done.

Hey well done mate! Looks like you hunted the exact same ridge system that I did, and your guide looks familiar. Steep country. Again...nice job!!!
