From what I've heard, it can be one of the hardest mountain hunts.

I will do it too! Smiler

Guys I did this hunt in early october a few years ago and got beatten by extreamly bad weather. To the extent that we had an argument about trying to get the horses and us out down a very swollen river. we won the argument ,some of the guys stayed at the sheppards hut and we found out later they were stuck in there for a month!!!!!!! going to go back it was still a fantastic experience and I got to have one of those critter for the trophy room!

I think they run in the 8000 (+/-) USD category.

From what I've heard fog is a major concern on these hunts in the Caucasian Mts. of Azerbadjan. In 5 days of hunting is not unormal to loose a day or three.

Is that what you experienced, Zhaba?

An outfitter I have used for ibex also arranges such hunts. He say that they nowadays normally do this in August, because the weather is more stable. The skin quality is no the best though, but it will do for a shoulder mount.

I posted a video of Marco Polo hunting by the same guys. In both videos the hunters can't shoot for ****. Interesting videos, but it pisses me off to see the hunters throw so much lead.
