Politics aside I bet it was a fantastic hunt.
I have never been to Mongolia but from travel show it is a spectacular place. And as a special guest of the president, sweet.

Would be almost as good as a hunt with Saeed!!

I have hunted in Mongolia, four times, three times for Gobi ibex and Altai ibex, and once for the Maral. Greatest country to hunt, once you leave Ulan Bator, nomads live like they did 1000,s of years ago. To hunt the three species of wild sheep, a hunter needs to have an infinite bank account. When you shoot the really big argali sheep, the cost is astronomical. Really sad for the average hunter doesn't get the chance for they cannot save that amount of money. My favorite country to hunt.
