Came across this great video totally by chance (it is couple of years old) and is about 30 minutes in length. Gives background on the species, the amazing mountains where this particular Markhor lives, landowners who had the foresight to protect the resource, and how important "American" trophy hunters are to preserve this species. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0-CNmi7DFI Mostly all we see is trophy pics, rarely credit is given by the hunter to the people who make it happen for them. The locals protect these Markhors with their life. And now that the limited quotas are getting exposure, there is hope that the Suleiman Markhor will thrive once again in the Torghar Mountains. SNOW LEOPARD: Also, I can only hope that this Markhor trophy hunting model paves way for the Snow Leopard hunting in Pakistan. God knows how many are killed by the goat herders every year in Northern Pakistan. Usually there are more Naysayers than Can-Do'ers. There is a good enough population of Snow Leopards, all that is needed now are some forward thinkers who can pave the way.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. It is quite incredible that they can achieve this is such a small area. "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick."
