Bennie Adkins received the Medal of Honor, the highest military commendation here in the States, for his heroism in Vietnam. While he and several others were wounded, they were evading the VC and heard a rustling in the thick jungle brush and then saw the tiger. It had smelled the blood and was following the blood trail! Bennie said the VC were more afraid of the tiger than they were of them so the VC left. When the VC left, Bennie and his men hightailed it away from the tiger. Now that is a hunting story. | ||

I read Atchinson's book with stories of tiger in Korea while he wa in the US army there. "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick." | |||
