Just a sign of the times I guess. I was reading an in-flight magazine and watvhing an in-flight TV clip while flying in from Rome to Dallas. The subject was tigers/India. They kept referring to how they were going tiger "hunting" and how easily it was for people to go on "safari". Obviously they were talking about photo trips and "watching", not hunting, but they didn't feel the need to explain. In the magazine it described how a small town had banned barbed-wire. I man lost his fight to keep snow-mobilers off his land with barbed-wire fencing. One excuse given was that elk and antelope were unable to adapt to barbed-wire and would be killed. They seem to do alright in every ares I've watched them in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. I guess only yuppie elk and antelope can't adapt. | ||
