Im happy to report that the Sindh Ibex hunts i had advertised on AR a few months back were booked by AR members father & son.

Austin & Joe both got Gold Medal Sindh Ibex on day one and two of the hunt. they are both great people and passionate hunters that i have been lucky enough to hunt with and call my friends.

The hunt Continues......

Really nice Danish ! ( Danish ?? not Danish from Denmark ?? )

The small anthelope with twisted horns .. what kind of anthelope is that ?

And what was the weight of the big wild boar ?

The more I know, the less I wonder !

People from Denmark are called Danish - pronounced "Day-nish". The first part is spoken as a longer sound.

The subcontinent name "Danish" or "Daneesh" is pronounced "Dun-eesh". Here the second part is spoken as the longer sound.

It is also interesting that this name can be found among people of different religions - Muslim, Hindu or even Christian.

A little correction again my friend :-)

The name 'Dun eesh' is indeed used in the sub continent but my name is actually a Persian name which is pronounced as 'Daa Nish'

Hello, Joe here, my father Austin and I are back in Karachi at Pir Danish's residence preparing to return home. Our hunt was fabulous with Danish's connections here, from the network of game watchers looking after the ibex, to our unique visit to the deer and boar camp, he surely knows how to take care of his clients.
We took 2 jackals, a desert fox, and a jungle cat last night out in the desert.
The food has been outstanding, with a farewell dinner planned tonight of wild game meat.

Thanks Mark,
It truly was a fabulous hunt and cultural experience. We had our farewell dinner last night at the Sindh Club in Karachi, an exclusive club founded by the British, dating back to the late 1800's. Tiger mounts and lots of old guns adorned the walls, the only bad thing was no pictures were allowed to be taken.

Biebs,
The Sindh Ibex is hunted at hardly 3000 feet above sea level but we can drive the jeep to the top of the mountain and just walk through rolling hills to hunt the Ibex. not a very physically challenging hunt. however the Himalayan Ibex stays at 9,000 to 12,000 feet.
for both our ibex species there are easy and difficult areas depending on the hunters preference.
