I heard from a US booking agent yesterday that Uruguay may, or has already, closed its 2019 waterfowl season. His sources tell him many of the larger outfitters have been overshooting their areas for several years. He's attempting to verify this, but I have not heard back from him. I tried to verify directly with a well known Uruguay outfitter but he has not responded. Not sure about this, it could all be BS. 114-R10David

Just exchanged emails with another US-based agent. It's true the 2019 waterfowl season has been suspended. According the this agent, the source is apparently an anti-hunting political faction within the government. Another domino set to fall? I hope this gets sorted out. Uruguay is a great place to hunt with some truly beautiful estancias. 114-R10David
