Sitting in an airport with way too much time on my hands I thought I would share a few pictures with you.
Second week of March found dogs and I at the 14th Old Hemlock English Setter Reunion at the Hunting Hills Shooting Preserve.
www.huntinghillspa.com
for 3 days of Dogs, Guns, and Birds.
Old Hemlock Setters were bred by George and Kay Evans of Bruceton Mills WV, though they are no longer with us they're legacy lives on through George's writings and the blood lines of his English Setters.

I have been involved with Old Hemlock English Setters for over 30 years, they have been as much a part of me as our New England side hill coverts.

It's always important to wear your Roger Whittall Safari hat when shooting Chukars

Heading home back to 3' of snow and couch bound dogs. Spring will be with us soon and with spring will come the return of our local Woodcock and they're spring dancing.

Great pics....that is one sharp looking dog you have there.

I have shot the Pennsylvania Sporting Clays State shoot at Hunting Hills couple of times. They always do a great job at organizing it.

What kind of double in that second to last pic ? Looks like it has long barrels.

Zephyr,

I've always admired the Old Hemlock line of setter, and enjoyed reading from George's works. Beautiful dog you have there, and nice work in retrieving as well as pointing.

I also love that Purdey. You don't see many side-lever Purdeys, and that may be the best I've seen.

Congrats and good hunting with both.
