Taken outside my window this morning

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Actually I could have been more specific.

It was my office window that he was outside of. The office is obviously in the woods.

There was no need to call this one. He was gliding along behind 11 hens and 4 jakes.

He got about 5 feet from the window which goes to the floor, then seen his reflection in it and charged the window (reflection) - jumping and pecking at it.

The jakes got nervous from all the spunk he was showing and scramed down the hill. The hens paid no attention so he went back to gliding along after them.

AS64,

I admit the thought crosses my mind nearly each time he slides by the window however there are two problems.

1. Its not turkey season yet.

2. If I did shoot him I could not watch him anymore.

This one has provided more fun and education than any turkey I have shot just because myself and others in the office are watching all his moods and antics nearly every day.

I must be getting soft in my old age.
