Hey guys, I'll be in Corpus Christi for a few days in mid-January, and I was hoping to do some duck hunting. I wouldn't have a boat or a dog, so I was just wondering if anyone knew of a guide or a kind soul who would take a duck hunting fool out for a good time. I WILL have a car, a shotgun, and I can pay. Thanks!

I had a great hunt with John VenHuizen in Laguna Madre this week. Pintails and redheads galore, with some bluebills and buffleheads mixed in. I have never seen so many ducks in my life. There were clouds of thousands of redheads. In addition to the ducks, John had a comfortable boat, layout blinds, a spot and a plan, and he had me over for dinner with his family after the hunt (Pintail is delicious, by the way). Wonderful experience, too bad he's leaving Portland in April. Thanks John!
