My question today is what type of decoys would you use for duck hunting in Argentina. We have a mixed species waterfowl/dove hunt scheduled for this summer. I asked the outfitter if there was anything that I could bring him from the US. He asked that I bring him more duck decoys but I can not find a source for any species from South America. Do any of you have a source for South American duck decoys? What North American species might work well in Argentina when hunting these ducks: - Rosy-billed Pochard - White-faced whistling duck - Speckled teal - Silver teal - Southern Wigeon - Brazilian duck - Red Shoveler - White-cheeked pintail - Brown pintail. I would like to assist this outfitter but something is getting lost in the English to Spanish and back to English translation.

RonL, From what I saw the times that I have been there the ducks were so thick you could just shoot them without decoys. I think most of the hunters just position their makeshift blinds where the ducks are wanting to feed and just shoot them when they try to light to feed. You might get some first hand info from John at www.sportingdestinations.com Hawkeye47
