I am looking for an INEXPENSIVE side by side 20 ga. It does not have to look good just mechanicaly sound and shoot good. If you have one like this laying around collecting dust please let me know joemerrill@hotmail.com. Thanks Joe

You might consider a Stoeger. New they are about $300. Basic and funtional. I think they are better than the russian stuff floating around. Also, if you can look in the $700 or $800 range try DeHaan shotguns. i think the website is www.dhshotguns.com

A mate had a Huglu made for him a few years back. Nicely constructed gun but a touch heavy in my eyes. The Turkish walnut is now some of the best wood you can get hold of for blanks in europe these days. FB

If you don't mind cheap and heavy, I'd look for an old Stevens 311. Runs about $300. Solid but heavy and not very graceful. heck I grew up shooting one. Better than those new Stoegers I think. If you want to move up a bit to the 600-1000 level you have some more options. If you look arround enough Fox Sterlingworth (if you are lucky), some bottom run Lefervers, etc. Also look for European guild guns, old Uggies, French or German guns, also SKBs or Mirokus. See what types you like and don't rush it.
