Gents, I hope you are all well? I have relocated to the North West Cape town of Vryburg. I will be spending about a year or so in the area and will no longer be conducting bird shoots in the Eastern Cape for the duration of my stay here. I will be making contact with farmers in the area and so far have three fabulous concessions for Spurwing Geese! I arrived about two weeks ago on a hot Sunday afternoon and after unloading the vehicle and locking up the guns in my friends safe until I could get a chance to bolt my safe in, decided to take a walk through the rather small town and do some exploring. I walked up the main road and as I was so relaxed was in Condition White. A friend called me while I was walking so I stopped to chat on the mobile and just as I was putting the fone into my pocket a rather friendly indiginous species approached me for a cigarette. As soon as he was close enough another two came up from behind and managed to disable me while the one in front held a knife to my throat! They took my fone and about R1500 cash off me. They then fled quicker than any baboon I have ever seen run! Just as well I left my pistol in the safe as I believe I would not have had time to draw it, as I said earlier I was in Condition White and they caught me totally off guard. Not even an hour in Vryburg and I get mugged, hey!!! Nice. I hope I never see them again as I am once again armed with 7+1 230gr Hydra Shocks and my series 70 is cocked and locked and I am wide awake all the time. Anyways am enjoying the Kalahari sunsets and the smell of Camel thorn wood braais almost every evening and looking forward to my adventures. Will notify all once I am back in the Eastern Cape and operating my bird shooting safaris. Thanks to all AR clients who have hunted with me and hope to see you all soon but will still continue to post on AR as time allows. Best Regards

Thanks Norton. My plan is to offer Spurwing Geese and Rock Pigeon shoots up here and all other game birds such as Gyppos, duck, teal and quail in the Eastern Cape. Guinea fowl and francolin in both areas. I head off tomorrow in search of Sand grouse so I will be able to offer sandgrouse too. Hold thumbs! Regards
