TSS #7 vs #9 for turkey

Any preference? From what I’ve read the difference seems largely theoretical under most circumstances.

Yep just theoretical for sure.

If you keep your shots under 45 yards just use lead.

I guess I never hated or had to shoot a turkey that much.

To need to spend that kind of money a round to do it.

Now if there was profit on the line I might.

I hear simply amazing things about the Federal TSS turkey loads in .410. Rogers has them in size 9.5.

I use sixes backed up with fours. Turkeys can take a beating and nines are to light in my opinion unless you are keeping the shots close. Need some energy in those pellets.

This is TSS Shot we are talking about 9s have the same energy as lead 6's further out.
