Here in Hawaii we have 2 kinds of Doves that I know of, the largest which looks just like the Mourning Dove but a little larger has a Speckled band around it's neck and is called the Barred Dove. The second one is only half the size of a Mourning Dove and it is slightly speckled all over, I have been told it is called a Japanese Dove. There's not enough of it to flavor the grease. Oh how I long for the days when I get back to America and can hunt normal critters.
