I'm looking for someone to partner up with me for the upcoming quail season here in Georgia.

I have a couple of quail plantations I'd like to hunt, but they all require at least two hunters, and some suggest three is the ideal number.

I used to hunt with my sons but they are too busy, or too broke, and the other local folks I know who hunt are only interested in deer or turkey, so I am solo, it seems.

One operation is just south of Atlanta, and I've hunted there before. Another is east of Atlanta, around Washington, GA and has good testimonials, although I've not hunted this place personally.

If you are inclined to bring along a wife or girlfriend, the plantation south of Atlanta is just outside a town that has a huge annual "country fair" every fall, so a quail hunt could be scheduled to coincide with the fair. The one near Washington has activities for ladies, including spa treatments, tours of historic Washington, etc--at additional cost, of course.

At either place, a full day of hunting with guides and dogs provided is $425, and includes lunch and the opportunity to bag 20 quail. Gratuities to guides and cleaning of birds is extra, as is lodging, sporting clays, extra birds shot, etc.

I can provide websites for either plantation. Or, if you know of another place with about the same rates, I'm open to suggestions. I'd like to stay within a 2-hour drive of Atlanta, though.

If anyone is interested in getting together for a hunt, you can PM me or email me at aggie69@bellsouth.net. Thanks!

OK, let me know and we'll make a plan--but, the good plantations book up pretty fast, and the rates I found are the best available--some places charge $600-$700 a day, and UP.

Patricio,

Sorry for the confusion, Nitro Express is an old friend of mine and his "real" name just happens to be Pat.

I PM'd him about his quail hunt idea.
