I was invited to Juans family partrige hunts and its real fun ,many gentlemen of his family with their OU and sbs and many important clients invited ,champagne ,beers and wines run like the water of a stream ....i have shared with them 20 seasons and its a great thing to observe Juans father and his spaniel breton 73 years old with his hadmade 16 ou not missing a bird .

Upland bird hunting is more of a religion, than a life style in our family. We take the season seriously and strive to have our setters in peak condition and training. But it must be said that a young hunting dog does not know all there is and that getting to that point takes Time. Its important to be patient and to have the understanding that all dogs are child like in their thinking. They are devoted to us and strive to please. One should give them the kindness and love they deserve. Once they have reached maturity and gained the wisdom and knowledge you have taught them, there is nothing that compare to the hunting dog that knows what is expected. They seem to relish completing the task – from the point, the flush and the retrieve.
