TWallThanks for sharing.
After seeing a sage grouse on the wall at the Scheel's in Grand Forks I always wanted to hunt them. I also wish I had bought the 16 ga Citori they had. But, that's another story.

NortonWell done man! The only sage I shot wasn't mature enough to mount....I was pissed when taxi told me. I'm not sure we'll be able to shoot em for much longer with the numbers in decline.

Big Wonderful WyomingThe Feds claim that they are fine for now. With no plans from the USFWS to change their management policies.
I have taken quite a few in my life, they are wonderful birds.
Old bombers are fairly close to the size of a female wild turkey.
They are the largest grouse in North America by a fairly large margin. Similar in size to black grouse of Europe.

BigBShort season in Wyoming only 11 days this year but lots of sage grouse. I did not get a mature male to mount a goal for me next year. Hope we get to hunt them for years to come.
I do like brittanies and these two even retrieve.
