Bill/OregonMax. comfy gun weight?
Fellas, for hunting upland birds from grouse to chukar, what's the maximum weight of shotgun you are comfortable with carrying? For me, seven pounds is about the upper end in a 12 gauge.

Sambar 9.3G'day, personally, I think my old Westley Richards 12g with 2 1/2" chambers at 5 3/4lbs is about right for walking around. I wouldn't want to shoot clays with it all day, though.
I do have a berretta ultralight (6lbs) for use in swamps, etc, might wreck the WR. It seems to do quite well, and came with a set of 'paradox' barrels as well. Handy if you hunt somewhere where you are not sure if you will see a brace of quail, or a boar.
Cheers, Dave.
