Yes, I am familiar with the MMPA, and yes, I called it in to the aquarium people. No, they never called me back or responded in any way to this pup in need. Yes, this animal was bleeding, and no, I'm not sure where or why, though it very well could have been from simply crawling on the sharp ice, as well as a hit from a prop. Yes, the animal was probably eaten by coyotes the night after I took the pics. No, I did not cut off any bits for a sealshimi snack. Yes, he tried to bite. No, I did not touch him. Yes, it was fun as hell being close to him. Yes, I have heard most variations of the 'so, a seal walks into a club...' joke. No, I did not have a club, nor any desire to hurt him. Yes, if legal, I may have considered making a nice hat of him.
