I had Ben,the GSP, out a couple of times this past week for a little dove R&R. So far out twice and two quick limits . I used a Mojo decoy along with a Browning Citori 20ga. This is Ben's 3rd season and he is becoming a real hunting partner and a seasoned veteran. We can hardly wait until pheasant season.

I was hunting in Scurry County with my old Short Hair who is now 12 yrs, the first week of dove season. He does not move fast these days and is hard of hearing, but a bird hits the ground he goes and gets it. We will have to take it easy this year during Quail season, but he would bite me if I did not take him.

Enjoy your time with Ben, I have a had a collection of bird dogs and my books there are none better than a German Short Hair Pointer.

Saludos...Frank
