What a day, partner and I took 4 mallard drakes each. He got a hen hooded merganser to go with his drake from last year. I got a drake Bufflehead that will have a place on the bookcase. Hooded Merganser are rare here and one should only need one of these beauties in his time. I have never seen a Bufflehead where we hunt and will only shoot one of them also.

Blacks ducks where plentiful but evaded the shot string on Saturday.
