Early teal season opened on Saturday and there are lots of birds in the area but lots of water too. Took some time to scratch out limits in the salt marshes but friends further inland with fresh water ponds had no trouble shooting thier limits in less than an hour in many cases.

Early teal season is pretty exciting here in Texas after having spent 50 years in California. Just think, I am shooting ducks in mid September, it doesn't get much better than that.
