I'm getting older and fatter and don't know how many more overseas (or anywhere) trips I've got left in me.....I'd like to take my 15 yr old son on at least one high volume dove and/or duck hunt, preferably both, this summer, his school vacation is basically July and August.....nothing is ever simple, I'd probably have to leave the wife and daughters in BA or Montevideo, which might be more expensive than the hunting Smiler......I'd like to hear from either members or people supplying the hunts of CURRENT recommendations and prices for a good combined hunt. I'm thinking something on the order of 3 days duck and 3 days dove/pigeon or some similar combination. PMs would be fine or in here is perfectly fine for me as well.......Thanks in advance.....

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Went several times in the '90's , what a Hoot.

Will look back through some notes and see if the same outfitters still exit.

I've been many times to Argentina and Uruguay in the 80s and 90s but not since (children caused major changes in life style but it was worth it, I think..... Roll Eyes).....all my info is too dated to be useful, which is why I'm asking for current info/help here. Thanks for your assistance.

Leaving a week from today. Ducks/doves/perdiz/pigeons. I am going with Argentina Outfitters. Check out their website. It's about $1,000/day when all is said and done. They have numerous options. I am concerned, however, in the late date, as I imagine they're probably fairly booked. Cheers, Trey

I appreciate the information but for $1000 a day, I'll be in Africa after buffalo or similar.......that's out of my price range for doves, especially considering I've got to pay for #1 and only son and wife and daughters as well, but I'm glad some people can afford the best. I've had a very nice invitation from Juan Pozzi and, if at all possible, will try to hunt on his place down there.

I hear ya and know what you mean. The $1K figure does include everything, though. As you know, once you figure in licenses, trophy fees, tips, and dailies, your $1000/day buffalo hunt ends up being closer to $2000.
