Patternmaster choke tubes? Worth it or worthless?

I have a Browning 10ga and am wondering about a patternmaster choke tube for it. Is it worth the $80-90 or not? Does it increase the noise blast to the shooter or partner? Any general observances you've had/witnessed?

I have one on a Remington 870 3". I could detect no higher noise level. I shot #2 steel with it and killed ducks and geese at distances that I'll not reveal. I think it is a great product. It only works well with larger shot, though.

I mainly shoot BB steel but will be duplexing #4 Hevi-shot & BB steel this fall for ducks. What size did you find to be 'larger' shot where improvements were evident? What were your results with smaller shot?

Thanks,
BMG
